I opened my eyes again, and we locked in a hypnotic gaze. I didn’t look away like I normally would when a hot guy caught me staring. I held the gaze and just keep dancing. I felt seductive for the first time in my life. The hottest guy I had ever seen was watching me with a hunger in his eyes. And I was dancing for him.
The song changed, breaking my concentration from Jared and back to the DJ. A feeling of euphoria filled my entire body as I looked out at the scene before me, taking it all in. I love it here. I want to dance all night. Suddenly I felt a hand on my hip. It startled me, but I didn’t mind. A body moved up against me and started to move in harmony with mine. I shot a look over my shoulder and caught a glimpse of Jared. My face now only inches from his. I turned my body around so we were face to face. Still moving with the beat of the music, our bodies melded. Now I was hot. Why is it so hot in here? Up close I could see he had a small silver piercing just below his bottom lip and it protruded forward as he bit his lower lip and stared deep into my eyes.
I mirrored his gesture and bit my lower lip, looked up at him with my large doe eyes as he started to grind closer to me. With his hand on the small of my back he pulled me into him, pressing his body hard into mine. The smell of his cologne was intoxicating. I had an overwhelming urge to kiss him, our lips now only an inch apart, at best. I wondered if he felt the same. Is he going to kiss me? God, how I want him to kiss me! His took his finger and gently ran it from the base of my neck down my décolleté and stopped right above my cleavage. My skin moistened from sweat, my panties moistened in arousal. Why was he teasing me? I wanted him so badly I considered pulling him off to the bathroom. Have some class, Shay. My conscience reared its ugly head for the first time all night. Glad to know I still had it, but unwilling to listen, I closed my eyes and leaned my head back, exposing my vulnerable neck. I saw flashes of light pulsating through my closed eyelids, and I felt Jared’s hand move from the small of my back down to my ass as he gripped it in his palm. Finally, soft lips met my neck. He gently kissed his way up until our mouths were in perfect alignment. He paused, and I could feel his breath on my face. We were so close. Why won’t he kiss me? Unable to take it any longer, I latched my fingers around his neck and pulled his mouth into mine.
His lips soft on mine, kissed me slowly at first, and then the whole world around us seemed to fade away, and I was lost in his embrace. I teased him a bit, circling his piercing with the tip of my tongue, and then put it in my mouth and tugged gently with my teeth. I had never been so forward with a guy before, but I couldn’t stop myself. My attraction for him was animalistic and the way he looked at me, with a craving in his eyes, told me he felt the same. His hands made their way up my back, my hair tangled in his fingers as he pulled me deeper into him—just forcefully enough to be sexy, yet still rough enough to drive me crazy. His touch did something to my body I had never experienced before, but I liked it, and I wanted more.
I moaned through muffled lips as he started to kiss me hard and deep. It was like our mouths were made for each other. We were full-on making out in the middle of the VIP section, and I just didn’t give a shit who was watching. My eyes still closed, we sucked and licked on each other’s lips in time to the music. I could feel his erection pushed up against my pelvic bone as he grinded himself into me. I was ready to give myself to him when my conscience came back. Don’t give it all at once, Shay. That bitch had the worst timing. But I knew better than to give it all at once. At least I hadn’t lost all of my senses—just my hormones.
I pulled away slowly, lingering on his bottom lip for a moment before letting it go as I looked deep into his eyes. They had a yearning in them now, a look of lust. I knew I had turned him on, I could feel the confirmation still pushed up against me. He leaned in for one last kiss as the song changed, and suddenly it was like he had been awakened from a trance. For me it was more like waking up from a wet dream—still hot and bothered, yet bummed it was over. He flashed me his sexiest grin that let me know he enjoyed our encounter, then turned and walked over to Pope and grabbed a beer from the ice. Our dance was over.
I wondered if he danced with all the girls like that.
I wondered if we’d ever dance again.
I knew one thing for certain … I didn’t want the night to end. Social Links

This book was a great read just like the first two.
This book picks up where the last one left off. We are watching Lexi to struggle to put the pieces of her life back after the terrible attack in Australia. Alex is still by her side. Trying to help her as much as he can. He loves her and it's hard for him to see his wife struggle with the pain she is going through.
I loved Lexi's character. T. Gephart wrote her in just the right ways. You feel Lexi's struggles and heart felt emotions right along with her while you are reading. You also felt for Alex and the emotional relationship he had to endure trying to help things get back to normal and move on.

About The Author

T GephartT Gephart is an indie author from Melbourne, Australia.
T's approach to life has been somewhat unconventional. Rather than going to University, she jumped on a plane to Los Angeles, USA in search of adventure. While this first trip left her somewhat underwhelmed and largely depleted of funds it fueled her appetite for travel and life experience.
With a rather eclectic resume, which reads more like the fiction she writes than an actual employment history, T struggled to find her niche in the world.
While on a subsequent trip the United States in 1999, T met and married her husband. Their whirlwind courtship and interesting impromptu convenience store wedding set the tone for their life together, which is anything but ordinary. They have lived in Louisiana, Guam and Australia and have travelled extensively throughout the US. T has two beautiful young children and one four legged child, Woodley the wonder dog.
An avid reader, T became increasingly frustrated by the lack of strong female characters in the books she was reading. She wanted to read about a woman she could identify with, someone strong, independent and confident who didn't lack femininity. Out of this need, she decided to pen her first book, A Twist of Fate. She enjoyed the process so much that when it was over she couldn't let it go.
T loves to travel, laugh and surround herself with colourful characters. This inevitably spills into her writing and makes for an interesting journey - she is well and truly enjoying the ride!
Based on her life experiences, T has plenty of material for her books and has a wealth of ideas to keep you all enthralled.
T self-published her first novel through Smashwords, is about to release her second novel on the same platform and is currently writing the third book in the Lexi Trilogy.

Here are the truths Renee shared with me.

Waking Up
by Renee Dyer
For Adriana Monroe life couldn’t get any better. She has great friends, her photography business is booming and she married Alex, her childhood best friend. Life is perfect. It’s a fairy tale really.

But one night changes everything for her.

Suddenly she’s alone. She’s afraid to trust and afraid to love. Most of all she’s afraid she’s broken beyond repair. Nightmares torment and haunt her every time she closes her eyes.

Will she ever be the same?

For Tucker Stavros it looks to the outside world like things come easy for him. He’s gorgeous, rich, famous, has a hot girlfriend. Hell, he’s a movie star. If women aren’t trying to get with him then men are wishing they are him. What they don’t see is the broken child hiding behind the smiles he fakes for the cameras. They don’t see the man who wakes up drenched in sweat from his nightmares from a past he can’t escape.

Betrayal sends him running.

A chance encounter throws Tucker and Adriana together. They try to fight their attraction for each other. They feel they’re too broken for the other.

Will they continue to suffer in the hell of dreamland separately or will they find that Waking Up to real life together can be so much sweeter?

I loved this book! I couldn't put it down. I sat for hours reading it.
The book is packed full of emotions. And trust me you will feel everyone right along with the characters.

The entire book is very personal and heartfelt.
The book is based over a couple week period of time. We come to know Adriana a widow who is living her life as an otherwise empty shell, and Tucker the famous movie star trying to get away from the publicity and cheating girlfriend.

Along with them we have a group of supportive and protecting set of friends to Adriana.
Adriana lost her husband a year ago in a car wreck. She lost more then a husband but no one in her world knows of this until she shares the information with Tucker of all people.

Tucker is a very understanding man, he understands she misses her dead husband but we still see his pain as he suffers through watching her talk to "Alex" and miss him so much.

How will it all play out? Will they end up together?
I can't wait for book two. Seriously like I need it right now.

The Making of Nebraska Brown

New Adult Mystery
Date Published: 2/6/2014

The last thing eighteen-year-old Ann Leigh remembers is running from her boyfriend in a
thick Nebraska cornfield. This morning she’s staring down a cool Italian sunrise,
an entire continent from the life she once knew.
The events of the eighteen months in between have inexplicably gone missing from her memory.

All at once she’s living with Tommy, an attractive, young foreigner asking for her continued love.
Though he’s vaguely familiar, she recalls a boy named Shane in America who she reluctantly
agreed to marry. Juggling a new world while her old one is still M.I.A is
difficult enough without the terrifying movie scenes
spinning a dizzy loop in her mind: glimpses of a devastating house fire, a romance
gone wrong, an unplanned pregnancy, and a fractured family – each claiming to be part of
who she once was – a girl and a past somehow discarded.

Ann Leigh must collect the pieces of herself to become whole again, but she doesn’t
know who to trust especially when Tommy’s lies become too obvious to ignore. And above all, her
heart aches to discover what became of the child she may or may not have given birth to.

The Making of Nebraska Brown tells the story of one girl’s coming apart from the inside and the great lengths
she’ll go to reclaim herself and find her way home.
Excerpt:
Tommy sat down beside me. His musky cologne smelled familiar. His espresso-colored brown hair parted over on the left side of his head, draped over
his ears in dogged springiness. I’d told him I liked it shorter. I knew that, too.
“Of course. We were supposed to meet there for lunch, like we always do on Tuesdays. What’s going on? Why are you playing games?”

I let my head fall into the cushion. Tears tempted me to cry them. They’d been behaving for hours now. I clamped my lids shut, breathed through my mouth. “I’m not playing. I don’t know what happened.
I can’t remember why I’m here or who I am. Who you are.”
His hand fell on my knee like winter’s first snow, easy and without a sound. When he spoke, he used that same tone—sweet and calm as dawn. “Ana, it’s me. Tommy. And you’re you.
We’re us. Have been for over a year.”
I wound my fingers with his, searched his face for the other half of this “us” he referred to. He pulled me close. Caramel wafted at me from inside that bag, slapping me around, calling me silly. Tommy held the
small of my back in his palm. His hands were large, strong and sure, the kind of hands that had never had a frightened moment in their whole life.
