wanted
Title: Wanted: A Most Wanted Novel
Author: J. Kenner
Release Date: January 7, 2014

Blurb: He is everything I crave, all I desperately want—and he is everything I can’t have.
Evan Black embodies my every fantasy. He is brilliant, fierce, and devastatingly handsome. But he is also headstrong, dangerous, and burdened with secrets.
My family warned me to stay away, that I could never handle Evan’s dark dealings or scarred past. Maybe I should have listened. Maybe I should have run. But our desire is undeniable, and some temptations you just can’t fight.
And from the moment we touch—the passion between us consuming us both—I know that I will never be the same.

Excerpt:
Chapter One

I know exactly when my life shifted. That precise instant when his eyes met mine and I no longer saw the bland look of familiarity, but danger and fire, lust and hunger.
Perhaps I should have turned away. Perhaps I should have run.
I didn’t. I wanted him. More, I needed him. The man, and the fire that he ignited inside of me.
And in his eyes, I saw that he needed me, too.
That was the moment that everything changed. Me, most of all.
But whether it changed for good or for ill . . . well, that remains to be seen.

My thoughts on Wanted: ***** (5 stars)
After reading the Stark Trilogy and getting introduced to this series, I couldn't wait for it to be released. You won't be disappointed and it was well worth the wait. Now on to a new wait for the second book to come out.
The writing was great. I feel that J. Kenner has a gift of giving you a story that you can imagine the images in your mind while reading. The book had great well defined characters. The flow of the story was also great, I felt like I didn't want to put it down, I just wanted to keep reading to find out what happens.
Simply put I loved everything about this book. From the mystery to the thrilling suspense on to the hot steamy sexual tension, this book was a roller coaster full of emotions for sure that you didn't want to end.

From a friend: Leanne- "I finished this book tonight. I simply gobbled it right up! SO GOOD! I eagerly await the next book in the series. I mean it! It was fabulous!"

J. Kenners introduction about the characters:
The Men
Evan Black. Tyler Sharp. Cole August.

Brilliant, fierce, determined. Sexy as hell. And utterly dangerous.
They make their own rules, find their own way, and to hell with anyone or anything who tells them otherwise, be it a cop, a court, or a woman.
They’ve spent over a decade watching each others’ backs, protecting each others’ secrets, and relying on each others’ talents.
They’ve taken risks, said “fuck you” to the law, and made a tidy profit in the process.
There’s not a scheme they’ve concocted that they haven’t pulled off, not a desire they haven’t achieved.
And there sure as hell isn’t a woman they’ve pursued that they haven’t caught.
None, however, have captured their hearts.
None, until now.

The Women
Angelina Raine. Sloane Watson. Katrina Laron.

Three completely different women, each with a unique way of looking at the world.
Each with secrets and ambitions she holds close to her heart.
And each more than capable of standing on her own two feet.
None are looking for a man. But whether because of lust, greed or duty, each woman finds herself in a forbidden bed with the one man
capable of crashing through her defenses and taking her—both physically and emotionally—to her breaking point and beyond.
It’s a dangerous game—and what’s at stake is everything.

  1. Can I add in another few words regarding this author? Frankly, I had never heard of J. Kenner until the book Wanted was recommended to me just last week. It wasn't until I finished reading this book that I discovered her previous series from 2013, The Stark Trilogy. Oh my word! Let me just say that this last week was one wildly intense ride from beginning to end. There was a palpable tension between scenes in each book that simply would not let go! It really never let up as I wondered where the story would go next and THAT'S what made each story so hard to put down! It's why I had one very sleepless week... Not that I minded.

Now that I've added her to my list of favorite authors, I eagerly await the next addition to this series. Not only were her main characters wonderfully written, but I fully enjoyed each of her background characters as well. Kudos to a very talented author!

I'm looking forward to a bright future full of her work--with many new books on my shelves...
