Review:
Mafia Girl is centered around Gia a 17 year old who is the daughter of a mob boss. We get a glimpse of just a couple months of her life. Where she is teased and bullied by her peers at school. I feel like she just wants to be a normal teenage girl. But people can't look past her name and who her father is.
When she is pulled over she meets officer "hottie" who she falls hard for and she ends up chasing almost to the point of stalking. In my mind I was thinking no way would he even look twice at this girl. She is 17 years old and he is a Cop!But apparently he can only resist for so long.
I thought this book sounded very interesting from the description. And while the story line had great potential it lacked something. I felt it was scattered. It was boring at times and I felt I had to make myself read on.
Her hang up on officer "hottie" was overbearing and suffocating.
The characters lacked the real life persona. I couldn't relate to any of them really.
While I loved other books by Deborah Blumenthal this one just wasn't for me.
I would not recommend this to friends.
