Male escort. That got your attention.

Some of the most powerful and well known women in the country pay to have sex with me, some of them married. Some are into more than just straight sex, which is why they call me. Bondage, power play, submission…nothing is off the table. I will do anything for the right price.

The stories I could tell you about a certain high profile congresswoman, or that innocent blonde actress. Trust me, she’s not so innocent.

Guys would kill for my job. I’m living the fucking dream. Meaningless sex, no relationship hang-ups and I’m rolling in the dough. Life is perfect, just the way it is.

Until I meet her. She changes everything. She makes me want more than I’ve ever wanted for myself and she believes in me. But she also thinks I sell insurance. I can’t stop what I do, but I can’t give her up.

Eventually, my two worlds are going to collide and when they do, shit will hit the fan.

I picked up this book because I signed up for an ARC of the second in the series, Promiscuous, which will be released on February 8th. However, when I read what it was about, I was instantly intrigued. The idea of a male escort being the main voice heard throughout - I mean, where can you go wrong? Ok, ok so there are plenty of ways that premise can go wrong. Luckily, Missy Johnson did not disappoint in her follow through.

We are introduced to Mr. Liam Cooper and holy heck did I want to get to know him. The idea of a male point of view always impresses me because the norm is so often that of a female or a dual view point at the very least. I loved Missy's writing style. When her character is speaking, it's almost as if you are a friend and he's speaking quite colloquially to you. It made the story feel more personal in a way. Because of how informal the language and structure was, you saw this whole other side of Coop. As a male escort, he's confident (and maybe sometimes cocky) and always trying to portray whoever the client wants him to be. However, through these instances where he's talking to the reader in a way, we are able to see a much more vulnerable side to the character.

As for the other characters, I was intrigued but not necessarily invested in any of them. I was curious and I liked how they played into the story, but nothing about them stood out to me. This truly was a story about Coop and his journey to finding his love and making the hard choice.

I thought the story was cute and the sex scenes were definitely hot and steamy! I blushed reading through a couple of them and trust me, I never get flustered over something like that!

I guess I should also write a disclaimer that I am biased about this book. The reason Coop continues to be an escort is to pay for a trial and medical care for his mother who is suffering from Alzheimer's. My husband's grandfather was taken from us because of this disease so that really made me understand his emotions and motives a little but more than maybe I would have under other circumstances.

Overall, I love me some Coop and really liked the story. Book 2 is centered around one of his famous clients, Bethany, but I'm anxious to see where it goes. Missy sure caught me in her web with this one!
